Qualified individuals or groups will be selected to host one of a series of Louisiana Jam Sessions. Every session will feature a Louisiana songwriter in an intimate setting where the artist and the audience will participate together in a unique concert and songwriting experience. The first hour of the session will feature the songwriter’s original songs and music while the second hour will challenge the artist to write a hit song with help and inspiration from the audience. If for any reason the song is not finished within the 1 hour time limit, the artist will be given an overtime period of 30 minutes to complete the song along with the audience. At the end of the session the artist must perform the entire song, and that song will be submitted to seasoned producers, record companies, national recording artists, or anyone else who can potentially take the song and turn it into a hit!

The "Easy Breezy"
Louisiana Jam Session
September 4th at Children's Hospital
On July 23, 2014, the first Hit Me America Louisiana Songwriters' Showcase took place at Republic New Orleans. That night Rockin' Dopsie, Jr., Steve Blaze, Vince Vance, Daniel Smalley and Eli Seals took the stage to attempt to write a song with the audience in less than 10 minutes. Debbie Pennington, a local New Orleanian, yelled out the song title "Breezy in the Easy" and the rest is history! On Thursday, September 4th, the songwriters will come together to finish the song they started on that magical night. With the audience as their co-writers and their inspiration, there is only one goal:
TO WRITE A HIT SONG!   See the Video
Seating is limited for this Jam Session to only 100 audience members. If you are interested in attending this event please email your request to be in the audience to hitmeamerica@gmail.com
